2012 Year End Special: Favorite drama of the year

Rasanya ramai tahu yang cik Z ni memanglah peminat tegar K-drama. Sepanjang tahun 2012 ni cik Z hanya menonton K-drama secara online memandangkan kurang masa nak tengok tv. Yang bagusnya bila tengok online, kita boleh tentukan sendiri bila masanya nak tengok dan dapat plak tengok lebih awal berbanding di tv. Dalam banyak-banyak citer yang cik Z tengok tahun ni, list kat bawah ni lah yang paling menarik minat cik Z

1. Brain

 

SINOPSIS: Lee Kang-hoon (Shin Ha-kyun) is a neurosurgeon in his early 30s. He graduated from Korea’s most prestigious medical school with the best grades and completed his residency. Ashamed of his poor, uneducated parents, he has sworn since he was young that he will change his own fate. He chose neurosurgery, the least popular department, because there he can easily gain privileges by making connections with senior doctors. Seo Joon-suk (Jo Dong-hyuk), who was born with everything, is the person Kang-hoon despises the most and views him as his rival. Kim Sang-chul (Jeong Jin-yeong) is a caring, empathetic neurosurgeon professor in his mid-50s who acts as a mentor to Yoon Ji-hye (Choi Jung-won). Joon-suk likes Ji-hye, but she has feelings for Kang-hoon. The series takes a shocking turn when Kang-hoon learns that Sang-chul caused his father's death.  (20 episode)

My Comment: All time favorite. Dah tengok citer ni 3 kali tapi masih tak jemu melihat kesungguhan Dr Lee mengubah nasib hidupnya. Mula-mula memang tak suka dengan Dr Lee sebab arrogant dan perasan bagus, tapi memang dia bagus pun. Banyak adegan dalam citer ni boleh dijadikan panduan ataupun refleksi bagi semua kawan-kawan yang berada dalam bidang akademik terutama yang bekerja di university.    

2. Rooftop Prince

SINOPSIS: When Crown Prince Lee Gak is transported 300 years into the future to present day Seoul along with his three retainers, they believe that it is their duty to solve the murder case of the Crown Princess in order to return to Joseon. They land in the rooftop apartment of Park Ha, a cheerful woman in her mid-20s, who eventually believes the odd quartet's predicament and becomes their guardian. As Park Ha educates the four on life in the 21st century, Lee Gak comes across Hong Se Na, who seems to be the reincarnation of his wife. Taking on the identity of Yong Tae Yong, Lee Gak slowly begins to unravel the murder of Yong Tae Yong and in turn moves closer to solving the murder case of the Crown Princess. As he finds himself in love with Park Ha, he figures that maybe the Crown Princess was not so perfect after all...  (20 episode)

My Comment: Walaupun tak logic, citer ni sangatla kelakar dan menghiburkan terutama pada 10 episode terawal bilamana 4 orang pemuda dari Joseon dinasti datang ke tahun 2012. Memang haru jadinya.

3. Answer me 1997

SINOPSIS: This drama will focus on the extreme fan culture that emerged in the 1990s when idol groups took center stage and K-pop was blossoming. It tells the story of 6 former high school friends from a school in Busan who meet again in 2012 and brings back memories to 1997 when they were still high school students. Moving back and forth between the ’90s and today, the story centers on the life of Sung Shi Won (Jung Eun Ji), who idolizes boyband H.O.T., and her 5 high school friends. (16 episode)

My Comment: Simple story line tapi kelakar sangat. Boleh hilang tension tengok citer ni. Oleh kerana cik Z lahir tahun yang sama dengan watak utama dalam citer ni jadinya most latar belakang dalam citer ni cik Z memang tahu atau pernah tahu. Kiranya macam naik travel machine ke tahun 1997 gitu. Bringing back a lot of memories.

 

4. Ghost

SINOPSIS: A drama based on a cyber investigation squad. Kim Woo-Hyun (So Ji sob) is the only son of a high ranking police officer. Woo-Hyun entered the police academy ranked first and graduated from the academy ranked first. As a detective, he then joins the cyber investigation department. Woo-Hyun then works to reveal the secrets of those that hide within the cyber world. (20 episode)

My Comment: Serious drama tapi addicted sebab nak tahu apa kesudahannya. Banyak sangat informasi menarik tentang cyber crime yang boleh dipelajari melalui citer ni.

5. Nice Guy

SINOPSIS: A classic melodrama involving betrayal, revenge, and romance. The story is about Kang Ma Roo (Song Joong Ki), who gave up everything for the woman (Park Si Yeon) he loves only to be betrayed by her. To get revenge on his ex-girlfriend, he uses her step-daughter and successor to Taesang Group, Seo Eun Gi (Moon Chae Won). Unfortunately, she suffers brain damage and loss of memory after a car accident, and now Kang Ma Roo works to fix everything that went awry because of his blind sighted revenge and ends up fally in love with Seo Eun Gi. (20 episode)

My Comment: Dah lama tak tengok melodrama sebab bosan la asyik nangis je kan. Tapi ianya tidak berlaku dalam citer ni. Brilliant story line by script writer dan the execution pun really great. Tak de watak yang asyik nak menangis dan setiap watak walaupun jahat tapi kita boleh kesian plak tengok diorang. Ha ha macam mana tu?

6. May Queen

SINOPSIS: A story about young people who were born during a time of development for the shipbuilding industry. In their journey, there are ambition and love, betrayal and vengeance, failure and success. Chun Hae Joo (Han Ji Hye) is a woman who pulls herself up from a harsh life and makes a name for herself in the shipbuilding industry. Park Chang Hee (Jae Hee) and Kang San (Kim Jae Won) are the two men who war for her love. (34 episode)

 

My Comment: Suka sangat latar belakang citer ni sebab pasal shipbuilding. Barulah tahu rupanya Ulsan di Korea merupakan salah satu kawasan shipbuilding terbesar di dunia. Honestly cik Z lebih suka lakonan pelakon kanak-kanak dalam citer ni dalam 8 episode terawal berbanding pelakon utamanya.
